It’s so easy to be inconsistent. And this is actually a millennium-old habit.
To tell you the magnitude of those who engage in it.
We all know the end of this habit. You know how engaging with this habit will end for you, yet you engage with it “consistently”.
And no, I’m not here to tell you how to stop it. There are more than enough pieces & videos online to help you with that.
What I’m here to tell you instead is exactly what slacking off is costing you in the big picture.

It’s safe to assume that you have a reason for being alive, even in the midst of chasing your dreams & goals.
A reason for your creator to clap His hands like a proud dad. A purpose.
But you’re yet to chase your goals consistently, and you want to chase your purpose?
I like to believe you remember the popular saying - “charity begins at home”
It affects every area in your life, because why would you believe you can fulfil God’s purpose for your life if your very own life is not even in order?
And no, I’m not advocating against divine assistance or exceptions.
I’m talking about the confidence(not pride) that comes with knowing God can trust you to handle His purpose for your life consistently, because let’s be honest;
Purpose doesn’t grow smaller, only bigger, but it has to start somewhere, and for it to grow, the human being behind it MUST grow.
The habit of consistency must start where you are before it can graduate into where you’re not.
It’s a harsh truth, I know.
Your purpose is already for you. God won’t take it back, but you have to understand that consistency with the natural things in front of you first is what graduates into consistency with the supernatural.
God isn’t a magician. He is principled & consistent. This is how you should be if you wish to achieve great things for Him.
Why?
It’s because you’re made in His image and likeness.
I’d appreciate you pausing here for a minute to consider subscribing if this post resonates.
You can’t continue in inconsistency and believe you’d follow through with God’s purpose for your life “consistently”.
It doesn’t work like that.
And the devil doesn’t want you to see it this way because it’ll make his plans for your life futile.
He’s here to steal your purpose from you anyway. And what better & effective way than the illusion of comfort coupled with the habit of inconsistency..
This is not about God not trusting you. This is about you telling yourself the truth.
You haven’t been able to keep a job for more than 6 months, and you’re expecting to be a steward for God for the rest of your life? C’mon
Or you’re yet to successfully lead your home, and you come out from your place of prayer one day proclaiming, “God wants you to lead a congregation”. NO, you thought so.
Again, charity begins at home.
Excel where you’re at right now, and as you grow as a person and as a believer, your purpose growth will naturally align.
It’s not going to be a magical process. It’ll most likely be a messy one, but BEAUTIFUL in the grand scheme of things.
That’s how I like to see life - IN THE GRAND SCHEME OF THINGS.
It keeps me humble.
So, stop slacking off and start asking God for the grace to be consistent.
Cheers to growth..
